questions we often get asked
FAQs
How do we begin?
Say hi and tell us about your project. We’ll send through more information about our services, and if we are made for each other we will book your project.
Do you work: locally, nationally, or internationally?
All of the above. We work with clients in Tauranga, New Zealand as well as around the world. With most of our client’s products going off to export, it’s become a part of our everyday working process to have eyes, ears, and minds in various markets. Our online processes allow us to work with you from wherever you are. If you have access to your emails, and internet, we are good to go!
What’s the cost? Is there an upfront payment?
We price projects up-front (hourly rates can be negotiated if this is what you prefer). The deposit secures your spot in the design queue.
How long will it take for: Branding, Packaging/Web Design?
A branding project takes on average 2/3 weeks, packaging projects please allow 3-4 weeks (all depending on project complexity ) a website design can take up to 6 weeks.
Every project is different so if you have a deadline, please let us know and we can firm up project timelines and delivery dates that work for you.
How do you work? And what’s included in a round of revisions?
Our design process is collaborative, when working on your job, we provide you with 3 design concepts for you to choose from and up to 2 rounds of revisions on your chosen concept.
Each round of revisions allows to you provide limitless feedback (as many points or references you need to get your point across), we action this feedback and present the revised concept back to you.
Copywriting and sub-editing of copy
We have a range of experienced and creative copywriters on hand who fit your brand’s tone of voice. Specialised copywriters based in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, US, and China who know the local lingo and how to best connect with your target consumer. We choose copywriters who are pros at taking your messaging and transforming it into snappy taglines and copy that connects.
Subbing is done at the end of your project. this is an optional extra as some companies have in-house editors experienced in their own brand of company technical jargon. But for most, it’s highly recomended.
What’s the difference between a logo and branding?
These two terms, often used interchangeably are actually not the same.
A logo is just a mark that visually identifies a brand. It can be a graphic image, the typographical representation of the brand or a combination of both.
Branding is a broader concept that encompasses all of the visual elements that make up the look and feel of a brand. It includes the logo, the colour palette, the fonts, image style, layouts and any other graphic element supporting the brand (web, signage, packaging and all other visual touch-points your company may have). All of these elements are outlined in a brand style guide.
